Interesting Sites for May

I don't post raw links to sites very often, but exactly four things caught my attention.

Google Sightseeing: This site is both fun and truly interesting. The premise is simple: readers send in pointers to interesting sections of Google's satellite maps. For example, the Golden Gate Bridge, the Grand Canyon or Niagra Falls.

Not all are that obvious, though. Some are highlighted because the perspective from so high above the earth produces some truly shocking results. Some good examples are Diamond Head in Honolulu, Mall of America (which has its own street names!), and the Boeing Factory, which is unbelievably massive. Check out the size of the cars in the Boeing image.

Mod mini: All sorts of information for the Mac mini owner. Tutorials, reviews, and so on. Good stuff.

MacZealots: I really should have mentioned this site sooner and more often, particularly because it mentions Cocoa Dev Central in various places. Justin & crew do a killer job with this site.

FuzzyClock: I don't know what it is, but I just find something appealing about my menubar telling me it's "nearly seven o'clock."

UPDATE: Fixed the Google Sightseeing link
