Yeah, saw that. This one cinematic wasn't in there for some reason.
One recurring feature of the R&C series is that you could get weapons from the previous game.
They do give you some of the gadgets right away, and in the descriptions for these items it says that Ratchet and Clank collected them on "previous adventures" or something to that effect. This isn't for the actual weapons, though.
